Five signals, not one dot
GPS quality, precise-location permission, background permission, connectivity and battery optimisation are reported by the device itself on a heartbeat.
A cause, in plain words
Known permission, power and connection problems have specific guidance. Missing diagnostics are labelled as unknown, even when positions are arriving.
A fix they can tap
Send a fix-it link straight to the phone with the problem. It opens setup guidance or supported system settings; available shortcuts vary by phone.
And proof it is working
“98.7% of expected updates arrived this week.” If tracking is unreliable, you find out from us, not from an emergency.
Active safety

Most trackers are surveillance with a map. Orbities puts the actions a family actually takes in an emergency one tap from the home screen.

Know what the beta can do
Features depend on each phone’s permissions and operating system. These limits are part of the product, too.
Location with context
Shared positions include age and accuracy. Background updates can be delayed by the phone, power settings or network. Device diagnostics explain what was actually reported.
Controls by capability
Android screen time needs Usage Access. App blocking and filtering depend on device setup. iOS controls require Apple entitlements and device testing; they are not verified in this beta.
Family alerts
SOS and timers notify your chosen contacts. Orbities does not provide emergency dispatch or guarantee delivery. Call local emergency services when immediate help is needed.
Trust
Location data is the most sensitive data a family has
So the product is built to be defensible to the person being located, not just useful to the person doing the locating.
Sharing is always visible to the person sharing
No hidden mode, no invisible tracking. If someone can see you, you can see that they can — and see who checked on you, and when.
Pausing is a right, not a fault
Anyone can pause sharing. Their card says “paused”, not “offline” or “problem”, because a choice is not a malfunction.
Autonomy grows with age
What a 9-year-old, a 14-year-old and a 17-year-old can control differs, and it changes automatically as they grow up.
A family agreement, written down
Everyone signs what the family agreed to monitor. It is the difference between safety and surveillance, and it is in the product.
A tamper-evident audit log
Members removed, Places changed, permissions altered — recorded in a hash chain that cannot be quietly edited.
We never sell your data
Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to insurers. It is a commercial commitment, published, and it is why the paid plans exist.
